Road Trip to California

We took a road trip to California to visit Bryan's family.

Total hours spent in the car: 42

Amount of money spent on gas: $500

Amount of times we packed and unpacked the car: 8

Finally sleeping in our own bed: priceless

We had a great visit with tons of Bryan's family. It was the first time they had met Brody so it was lots of fun. Brody did great in the car. We just made lots of stops and took our time. Here are a few fun shots.
My sister and husband and my adorable niece.
All the ladies.
Cousins
What a face. She says "I know your up to something Auntie Kate, I just haven't figured it out yet."
Family photo.
Here I am again in this big red crab contraption. I really don't even care for it all that much.
Duke is above laying on the ground like a common dog. That fish is still squirmy and they want me to touch it! That is gross!

Bryan's Grandma and Brody watching a Japanese fiddle player. He loved it! Who knew?
Bryan's Uncle and Aunt's cabin on the lake. All 4,000 square feet of it! Wow.
Papa, I found a John Deer along the way.
Bryan's cousin Danny.

Daddy and Me.
So sweet!
Mommy and Me.
Grandma teaching me how to play Skipbo.
Grandma teaching me to play the organ. I loved it. Who knew?

This is Bryan's cousins little baby. She was born on the same day as Brody. He outweighed her by 5 pounds! He's a big boy!
Cousin Carly and Me.
Aunt Barbara in her "cabin"

Please be careful on this ladder Mom.

Me and Pops in his hot rod!
This is the sun in the middle of the day! The smoke from the fires in California covered it up. Mommy went jogging in this mess and Pops had to call her and tell her to get back to the house.
Are you looking at me?

Here I am again in this floaty thing.

Kate,
Looks like you had a fun trip! I can't believe how big Brody has gotten. Seems like yesterday we came to see you in the hospital...can he really be almost 5 months old already???
